  The fall back position to deal with kernel sources that can not be
reconfigured by adjusting some macros, is that one has a unconfigured kernel
tree, one does 10 (or whatever) lndir's of it, configures each one properly.
  One then points at each one of them, and does
      make module \
	   KERNELSRC=/my/kernel/source/for/i386 \
	   MODBUILDDIR=/some/place/for/dotos

  The lndir/make oldconfig stuff only has to be done once. (per kernel rev)
