Installing on OSX 10.3

Im trying to install wu-ftp onto my osx client box (10.3). I tried the 
"./configure osx" method, but im only getting errors.

root# ./configure osx
configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target
checking build system type... Invalid configuration `osx': machine 
`osx' not recognized
configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub osx failed.

What can i do to get this running? This is a full and fresh 10.3 client 
install. Dev tools are installed. I also tried "./build osx" but that 
gave me tons of errors too. Oh, BTW, the version of wuftp im trying to 
install is the latest one! (2.6.2)
