Compiling wu-ftp

I have been away from unix for quite a while and now need to run a linux box
with ftp services.  I have installed redhat fedora 3 and installed all
updates.  When I attempt to build wu-ftp with the ./build lnx command,  I
receive errors when compiling ftpshut.  When the command checks for size of
ftpd and ftpshut in /bin, I get error that the files do not exist.   Can
someone put me straight on building the wu-ftp files plz.  What path should
I have used to extract the files?  Is the ./build lnx format incorrect for
fedora?
