The least compatible and almost obsolete is wu-ftpd itself - thanks to the
developers delaying new release. Lack of wu-ftpd in the newest Fedora (in some
sense based on RH 9 but in the same sense RH 9 is based on RH 7) is caused just
by this. The missing programs can usually be found in DAG repository but
unfortunately not this one. One can start with the latest RH 7.3 Fedora Legacy
version. Additionally one can need anonftp package. I see the most recent one
in RH 8 distribution. One can start with these packages:

ftp://sunsite/icm/edu/pl/pub/Linux/fedora/legacy/redhat/7.3/updates/SRPMS/wu-ftpd-2.6.2-15.7x.legacy.src.rpm
ftp://sunsite/icm/edu/pl/pub/Linux/fedora/legacy/redhat/8.0/os/SRPMS/anonftp-4.0-12.src.rpm

and use rpmbuild --rebuild ... to build the installable packages.

RH 7 is definitely an old distribution although I use is still (planning to
upgrade to Fedora 4).
