Hi Mark, You need to create local account "ftp" in /etc/passwd. Incase of Solaris 9 you could run ftpconfig command. The script in in.ftpd man page would be useful Thanks Gopi -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mark Grieveson Sent: Monday, July 25, 2005 10:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: anonymous user I'm having problems setting up wu-ftpd. I cannot log in as an anonymous user. When I look at the setup with webmin-wuftpd, I get the following quote: quote: ________________________________________________________________ Warning - your system does not have an ftp user, and thus anonymous FTP is probably not configured. ________________________________________________________________ How do I fix this? I use Debian Sarge.
