File too Large

I have WU FTP 2.6.2 running on Red Hat Linux 9.  I am using ext3 for the 
file system


When (Through either a dos ftp session, or a GUI ftp client running on a 
Windows 2000 workstation with NTFS) I try to ftp over very large files, the 
transfer fails with the message "file too large."

Is WU FTP giving the message, or is it the windows operating system, or the 
windows FTP Program?

In any event, what can I do to get these large files transferred?
