Error compiling GNUnet

Hi all. I've downloaded GNUnet, but it gives some errors at compile time, I think this is because I'm compiling it with GCC 3.0.4 . My system: distro: Debian GNU/Linux potato kernel: Linux 2.4.18 gcc: 3.0.4 Error messages: symcipher.c: In function `encryptBlock': symcipher.c:68: void value not ignored as it ought to be symcipher.c:76: void value not ignored as it ought to be symcipher.c: In function `decryptBlock': symcipher.c:105: void value not ignored as it ought to be symcipher.c: In function `encryptContent': symcipher.c:155: void value not ignored as it ought to be symcipher.c:168: void value not ignored as it ought to be symcipher.c: In function `decryptContent': symcipher.c:218: void value not ignored as it ought to be make[3]: *** [symcipher.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 Please CC me if you reply, I'm not subscripted to the ML.
