I don't know how much of your discussion runs face to face, but if some of it is recorded, it would be very interesting to read it, so we can see the reasons behind your decisions. Also you've been developing Mojito for quite some time now, and it will likely be very important for Gnutella, because it solves the problem of hash-queries by acknowledging, that search by hash is a different function from search by tag, but I haven't seen much info on it in here. And "one world, one network, one client" doesn't quite fit the Gnutella user profile, and "the one who tries to do everything will accomplish nothing".
