One problem I know from Kad (edonkey) is, that it's quite hard on a weak 
router. 

It did simply kill our fritz.box (half a year ago). 

We couldn't find out why, but Gnutella only did that, when gtk-g was set to 
search for other gtk-gs until it found some other gtk-gs (which often meant 
connecting to new clients and closing the connections at handshake for 
hours). 

Besides: When did you make your study?
