I just rewired http://gnet-specs.gnufu.net to point to the gnet-specs 
directory inside the mercurial repository, so thelink should work again.

Just click on the file and there on "raw" to see the html files. 

If you'd like to help reformatting the links contained in the files (or 
updating the content in a way which keeps it from being lost (ever) again), 
you can just get all files via Mercurial which is a version control system 
like subversion, but it is completely distributed, so every copy (or "clone") 
is self contained, so as soon as _one_ person still has a copy, all others 
can clone that again.

This should make the content of the Gnutella specification completely free of 
any single point of failure, be it a server, a computer or even the software 
(mercurial is a free, cross-platform application, and even if a virus should 
destroy every single copy of mercurial, the repo could still be imported into 
other distributed version control systems). 

At least it will be secure, as soon as enough people cloned the specification. 

Gnutella survived the wrath of AOL, because many people downloaded it at once. 

Now you can make the specs safe by doing the same. 

Please clone it. 
I don't want to be in the situation to be a single point of failure again.
