The GDF is "The Gnutella Development Forum". 

And you miscite sources (the study doesn't compare Gnutella and Kademlia. It 
just discusses Kademlia). Gnutella is very effiicient, and it scales:

And a "push into a trusted friend" done globally and secure is the "freenet 
project" (google for it, if you're interested). It has a vastly different 
goal than Gnutella, though. 

And http-urls with an alt-loc header backend provide an http only bootstrap 
for Gnutella.

And advertising competing networks in a dedicated development mailinglist is 
very bad style.
