It's more or less impossible to build LimeWire using Mac Classic.  What you can do is use another OS (OSX, Windows, etc..) and compile LimeWire using Java 1.1.8 (or Java 1.3, and praying that you don't use any code that's not in 1.3).  You'll have to be aware that the JIT on Mac Classic is terrible, and will throw exceptions in random places as well as be unable to load random classes at random times.

If you have suggestions for how we can backport newer features to Mac Classic, let us know.
