[core-dev] UPnP code in mainline - test please

Greetings,

There is preliminary UPnP support available for testing in mainline 
cvs.  It is not ready for wider testing yet, its intended for more 
technical users.  If you have an UPnP-enabled router, please give it a try.

Upon startup Limewire will try to detect whether there is an 
UPnP-enabled router reachable on the local network.  If it finds such 
router, shortly after startup it will try to open a listening port on 
the router so that it can receive incoming TCP connections and UDP 
packets.  If it does that successfully it will automatically specify the 
"force port" setting.  Upon shutdown, Limewire will clean up those 
mappings - so you may experience a little delay during shutdown.  Note 
that if limewire does not discover a UPnP router or you have set the 
Force Port setting manually, it will not try to do anything.

How to tell if it worked?  If your router has a console or web interface 
which shows what UPnP mappings have been created, you should see two 
mappings made by limewire.  Their descriptions will be something like 
"LimeTCP:asdf123 (client guid here)" and "LimeUDP:asdf123  (client 
guid)" for the TCP and UDP ports respectively.

Limewire will try to open the same port it listens on locally - so 
please experiment with those ports already being taken by different 
applications on the router.  Also please experiment with killing 
limewire during any stage of the mapping process - creating, cleanup, 
etc. as well as any other event that you believe can happen in the 
field; ideally we would provision for every possibility.
