Hi Jens-Uwe,

For the time being, LimeWire isn't going to actively write anything 
into this directory -- it'll just read.  The Windows installer is going 
to place a few files there (the JRE install, a zip of our jars, etc..), 
and the installer is going to swarm those from the network.  The 
NetworkShare stuff is not really going to be active on OSX or Linux or 
other OSes.

When/If we start doing downloads from within LimeWire itself, we'll put 
the share directory into a user-writable place.
