Hello folks, I'm interested in each of these bounties: User Identities: https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/CORE-28 Tags: https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/CORE-313 Ranks: https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/CORE-26 Network Monitoring (and Ostracism): https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/CORE-30 In my opinion, these features are all challenging to do correctly. This challenge is even greater due to open compatibility with servents which do not implement these features. Also they are inter-related, such that the developers of each feature need to correspond closely. Anyway, I've begun drafting design proposals for each system. I'm interested in designing, implementing, and/or reviewing each feature. >From the message boards it seems like some have been undertaken (such as identities), but I'm not sure about their specific progress. Also, I've read most of the gnutella 0.4 rfc spec, and I plan to read the Limewire design doc. However, is there a Limewire-specific protocol spec? My background includes experience with several related decentralized secure/privacy-preserving storage networks (MojoNation, mnet, allmydata.org's Tahoe). My academic study covered many aspects of security, identity, and trust for decentralized systems, so I'm excited to find bounties which are such a perfect fit. Regards, Nathan Wilcox ps: Is the main discussion list a better forum for this? _______________________________________________ core-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.limewire.org/mailman/listinfo/core-dev
