Is there an "official" translator for any language bundle? I never read such statement from the LimeWire team. LimeWire can accept or reject any incoming translation, and will cite the authors to respect their author's right, nothing else.

The language bundles are all licenced under the GPL according to the project rules, so the translators just need to conform to that rule; then they provide their translation within at least in this GPL licence (in addition to the implicit "licence" for their own author's rights where applicable, but under the rules for their public speech and not for their private rights, these author's rights depend on their residence country: by posting their translation in this public forum, they state publicly that what they provide here is licenced under the GPL).

This requires LimeWire being able to trace the authors (such trace is left in the project CVS history, and in the archives of this list, which is published and saved in other external archives): if authors don't want to be cited in the CVS tree, they will say so; but LimeWire has no other choice than storing the identity of the authors using the names they provide publicly when writing to this public list.
