RE: LimeWire Translation Problems?

Most probably, your editing (and your editor) is removing the special
comment (that precedes the resource itself) that indicates that the =
message
uses a java format.

I had absolutely no problem in translating the WHOLE resources into =
French
(and someone else also did that for Dutch). So all resources can be
translated. See it by yourself within LaunchPad.

Note that Launchpad had some severe problems during last autumn until =
the
beginning of December. Most of the problems were related to performance =
of
the server, but they are mostly fixed now, and translation works now can
work reliably.

I've also been able to use the import/export file feature of Launchpad =
to
work on the complete set more easily. However, note that when using it, =
you
MUST first request an export from Launchpad, wait for the incoming email
that will indicate when the export is ready for you to download, then =
you
can edit it (but don't change the meta-data options in the file header,
because Launchpad will verify it, notably the date field that will be =
used
to make sure that your external edits you'll import later will be =
correctly
associated in the history).

After you have finished an edit with the .po file format, you can import =
it
in Launchpad. Wait once again for the message from Launchpad that will
process your file (it may take about 24 hours now to get the =
confirmation
email). Then use Launchpad to review your new edits that are now pending =
a
review (you have to confirm them individually by selecting them in the =
list
of choices).

So remember that the lines "#,java-fmt" must NOT be removed, and it =
should
work. If you experience several rejects after trying to import your =
file,
consider downloading the GNU translation tools (there are prebuilt =
packages
for Windows too, part of the Cygwin distribution) so that you can verify
locally your files before trying to import them: these tools will give =
you
more details about each error of format, and their exact position in =
your
edited file.

Also, before even working on any .po file, make sure you download the =
latest
version by exporting it from Launchpad before each edit, or after each =
past
import. Otherwise, you'll get into troubles because of out of sync data
(such as the resource ordering problems you're seeing).
