I really enjoyed this article. I was not previously aware of *the 
pervasiveness* or *extent* of Gopher's terminal automation or FTP 
automation.  I love the idea of the burrowing rodent digging tunnels 
into the walled gardens of the era -- and would love to see a similar 
effort to dig into the gardens of today, somehow.
