firewall blocking (almost) everything

hello,

just installed gd -- hit Apply button and this is what i got:

Using iptables.
Resetting firewall rules.
Loading kernel modules.
FATAL: Module ip_conntrack_ftp not found.
FATAL: Module ip_conntrack_irc not found.
Setting kernel parameters.
Configuring firewall rules.
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name
iptables: No chain/target/match by that name
.
.

after this i found out that all http, ftp, im communication is blocked
even if i allow all the protocols. what does work is ping command. the
only way to reenable net services is to disable the firewall at all.

any ideas?
