Hi,
no, I'm not using skype (not yet tried, but my provider is NOT skype so I
think skype itself not being a solution).

Cornfedsip uses port 5060 for sip and port 5004 for rtp, i think port 5004 is
used to establish the audio socket. And finally it uses port 3478 for STUN. I
dont understand if the 5004 port itself will carry out the audio or 5004 is
only used to establish another audio socket. There is no detail in the
manual.

If I shut down guarddog i can call without any problem.

Actualy the only other Voip client I tried is xten-lite, but it is terribly
buggy, and i got it running only with an underliing asterisk (thus connecting
locally to asterisk, which then connect to the internet).

Details: I have a LAN, Speedtouch alcatel router with upgraded firmware (so
that is transparent for voip) and static iternal IP.

I don't use routing, because all the machines are connected directely to the
router.

The sad (for guarddog, and for debian) part of the history is that with suse
9.2 and the suse-firewall, opening 5004 and 5060 is sufficient to get
connected and call (maybe STUN is not critical in my case???).

Patches: unfortunately I'm not a computer scientist but only a chemistry
teacher (with some computer science knowledge) and my programming skills are
really terrible. (a little c, some 15 years old pascal, and a little more
than a newbie with PHP). Anyway bug-tracking and features proposal can I do.
