Re: iptables question

I am running Fedora Core 4 on each.  Uname output of working computer is:

Linux xxxx 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4smp #1 SMP Tue Feb 7 13:48:31 EST 2006 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux

Uname output for non-working computer is:

Linux xxxx 2.6.15-1.1833_FC4 #1 Wed Mar 1 23:41:37 EST 2006 i686 i686 i386
GNU/Linux

The non-working computer is at my home.  I have a cable modem/router issuing
IP addresses and the PC is connected through Ethernet.  The other PC is at
work with a high speed LAN & internet connection also connected through
Ethernet.

I presume, because you don't say so, :-)
that both PC's are connected directly to the internet via ether ADSL or a
modem?

What distribution are you running?

I may not be able help you but I know that the above info is needed
