Configuring guarddog for RTMP

I was wondering if someone has successfully configured guarddog to pass RTMP packets. So far the packets get dropped even after I have port 1935 open on all zones. I tried to do this test http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_16466 but port 1935 always times out. I read on somewhere that if the firewall is a stateful inspection firewall it would drop the packages even if the port is open. I think this is what is happening to me.
