Install on Ubuntu

Hi group, New to group and to Ubuntu.  I installed on Ubuntu by sudo apt-get 
install guarddog and at the end it failed with  /etc/rc.firewall couldn't be 
found and I have no ICON in any menu.

How do I start Guarddog?
Is Guarddog installed okay?
How do I test installation?
Have I missed something in install routine?

It reported successfully except for the /etc/rc.firewall message.
