Is there a way to add a protocol other than TCP or UDP?

Greetings. I am trying the guarddog firewall, having recently switched from firestarter, and I wonder if there is a way (not necesarily gui-based) to add a different *protocol*. And with protocol I don't mean the same as the guarddog manual, but a protocol type such as GRE (47) instead of TCP or UDP, which are the only ones able to be selected.

I am trying to connect to a PPTP-based VPN and I'd need that for it to work:

Jun  8 11:50:08 xpsm1330 pppd[17552]: Plugin nm-pppd-plugin.so loaded.
Jun  8 11:50:08 xpsm1330 pppd[17552]: nm-pppd-plugin: plugin initialized.
Jun  8 11:50:08 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: pppd 2.4.4 started by root, uid 0
Jun  8 11:50:08 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: Using interface ppp0
Jun  8 11:50:08 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/10
Jun  8 11:50:09 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: nm-pppd-plugin: CHAP check hook.
Jun  8 11:50:09 xpsm1330 kernel: [ 4591.422528] DROPPED IN= OUT=wlan0 SRC="my lan ip" DST="tunnel ip" LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=64 ID=36655 DF PROTO=47
Jun  8 11:50:09 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: Modem hangup
Jun  8 11:50:09 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: Connection terminated.
Jun  8 11:50:10 xpsm1330 pppd[17553]: Exit.

Perhaps somewhere I can add custom IPTABLES rules. BTW, I have the whole tunnel ip range added to a zone, in case it helps.

In other news, congratulations for the great work ^_^ guarddog rules a lot once I understood how the zones are meant to be connected.

An extra suggestion: perhaps a log viewer for iptables would be helpful? to not have to tail -f the messages file; in subsequent versions permissions could be added from there directly, such as what firestarter does (it's very usable, pity it is so limited in the other aspects). Just the logs would be hugely useful, in any case.

Thanks in advance for your replies...
