Hello. Two days ago I setup Hamster 2.0.0.1 and it seems to be working nicely. I just have one query. I get my Internet via modem dialup. I have worked out how to subscribe to newsgroups through Hamster and get messages to my Newsreader but what I want ot know is how, when I join a new newsgroup do I immediately set the group as read so I only get new messages and not my ISP's whole message cache for the group. I am using Sylpheed Claws-w32 v0.8.11 is it matters. I have also noticed that Hamster seems to work in a passthru mode for email (ie, when I do an email fetch in Sylpheed, Hamster also goes online for those email addresses at the same time. Is there a way to tell Hamster to only deliver to Sylpheed what it has in it's cache (if anything) and to only do the pop/smtp/nntp server pull/push when I say to? I am trying to read the faq / help so hopefully I will get uptospeed soon and not have to bother you too often :-) TIA, MarkL ------------------------ Yahoo!
