Excluding POP3 mailboxes temporarily

Given the situation where one of my POP3 mailboxes goes down for a while
and that I'm using HamMailExchange in my script, is there any way of
excluding this particular mailbox for a while without deleting it from
the list of POP3s?

I was hoping that this facility would be included in Hamster 2.0.0.1 but
I've just installed it and it isn't so could it be added as an option in
a future version please? I guess it would be useful for News servers
too.
