How do you change a server name?

As some of you may be aware the news.cis.de server is being renamed to news.individual.net and news.individual.de

Although DNS servers list all 3 names at present and point them to the same IP, I'd like to have Hamster use the new name.  

Is there anyway of doing this other than deleting the old server from News Configuration -> Newsservers and setting up a new server?
