Stupid question

Until earlier this week, we had a Windows machine set up to be a file and
print server. Hamster ran there happily, and served up its news articles
for copies of Agent on all the other PCs.

Then we turned the Windows server into a Linux server running Samba. That
makes much better use of its resources and it's far more stable, but I
can't run Hamster there.

Well, now I can get Hamster to run on the other PCs, but (even though I've
changed the IP address for it in the configuration), it refuses to talk to
the newsreaders.

And I'm wondering - is there something like Hamster that will pull articles
from multiple news servers via NNTP and act as a local news server under
Linux? Or has anyone had any luck running Hamster on a Linux box, using
WINE or something similar?

Thanks,
Cyn
