It looks like some network info is getting cached or something. It would be nice if the application was more resilient to this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Colin Leroy (colinleroy) Date: 2004-05-18 21:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=460566 that is due to libc. Lots of my network-using softs here do the same (except firefox, dunno why) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sean Dague (sdague) Date: 2004-03-15 20:29 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=21949 If the socket collapses and the network I'm connecting from doesn't change ayttm doesn't get hung, so clearly there is reconnect code in there which can rebuild sockets. The fact that these sockets can't be rebuilt if the machine network changes seems to indicate that some information about the client network address is being cached by ayttm. If it is, that could be compared to current network configuration. If it isn't, I don't see why this would break. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Philip S Tellis (bluesmoon) Date: 2004-03-15 19:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=341836 was ayttm disconnected or did the network just change on it and it doesn't know about it? any ideas on how ayttm would know if all network connections dropped? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=550744&aid=916262&group_id=77614 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: SourceForge.net Broadband Sign-up now for SourceForge Broadband and get the fastest 6.0/768 connection for only $19.95/mo for the first 3 months! http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=2562&alloc_id=6184&op=click
