cvs ./gen problems

I decided that I needed to try to create Ayttm from CVS to get the 
updated features.  However, when I try to compile from the CVS, I get a 
series of errors, and no "configure.in" or "configure" files are created.

I've tried to compile from CVS before, but it has never worked for me.  
It seems that the time between tarballs has increased, and that's ok, 
because I understand that the developers have lives too, so I figured 
I'd get the update on my own. 

The ./gen command was run immediately after the CVS commands.  I 
executed the CVS commands by copy and pasting them from the sourceforge 
project page changing the "modulename" to "ayttm".  As this implies, I 
didn't modify anything before running the command.  Hopefully this is 
something that's easily solved, but I'm at a loss since I'm not very 
familiar with CVS.
