Intermittent problem connecting to MSN

ayttm version: 0.4.6-17, built from .src.rpms
platform: RedHat 7.3/2.4.20-20.7 kernel/AMD Duron 750

1 ICQ/2 YahooIM/1 AIM/2 MSN
issue(s):
Occasional failure (gaining in frequency recently) to connect to MSN
on startup. Error messages include a message regarding username and/or
password (which is saved, and often succeeds when retried, without being
reentered), or the message "Could not connect to MSN HTTPS server (bad
cookies)." These errors do not necessarily occur to both accounts at the
same time, nor when errors do occur on both MSN accounts are they
necessarily the same error for both.
Any suggestions on things to try? As always, your suggestions/tips/hints
and the time you spent reading this are greatly appreciated.
