Hi All, I have just begun using ayttm after trying out other messengers, and I like it. I have tried to compile arts to ayttm on my redhat 9 without success, though. The error, at the time of running configure is: checking for artsc-config... /usr/bin/artsc-config checking for ARTS... automatic: no *** Could not run ARTS test program, checking why... *** The test program compiled, but did not run. This usually means *** that the run-time linker is not finding ARTS or finding the wrong *** version of ARTS. If it is not finding ARTS, you'll need to set your *** LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, or edit /etc/ld.so.conf to point *** to the installed location Also, make sure you have run ldconfig if that *** is required on your system *** *** If you have an old version installed, it is best to remove it, although *** you may also be able to get things to work by modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH The arts libraries are in the usual place (/usr/lib). Running /sbin/ldconfig did not help. Upgrading from Redhat 9 is not an option right now. So what options do I have to get arts features? Thanks for your help in advance. ayttm: 0.4.6 arts: 1.1-7 -- saurav ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf
