Category: MSN Group: None >Status: Deleted Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Colin Leroy (colinleroy) Summary: Change others' nicknames immediately Initial Comment: When someone changes their nickname (or 'friendly name' or whatever), the change doesn't appear until you restart the program You also have to go into the preferences thing to change nickname - I'd rather have it as a menu option (or have an option to have it as a menu option, since maybe people who don't use MSN wouldn't need it) That change doesn't appear either until restart of program Also, if I resize the main ayttm window horizontally (to be smaller) it snaps back to the size of the longest nickname Some people have very long nicknames, and it becomes very annoying if I want to have a small window - it'd be better to truncate the nickname (like "Bob - I am a turtle with a nickname that is too long and blah, blah, blah (Away)" to "Bob - I am ... (Away)" ) to the window length when the window is resized ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Siddhesh Poyarekar (siddheshp) Date: 2007-10-21 09:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=925451 Originator: NO This is a duplicate of #946361 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2005-01-07 16:46 Message: Logged In: NO Oops, didn't realize there was an option for the nickname refreshing thing in the preferences Maybe it should be enabled by default, though... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=550747&aid=1097771&group_id=77614 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
