Siddhesh,
I'm pleased to report, that fixed it!

However, now that I have a stable Ayttm, I have tried to chat
at irc.freenode.net, channel #puppylinux
It connects ok, I see messages of people joining and leaving,
I can post messages, but NO MESSAGES ARE RECEIVED.

I started Xchat, joined #puppylinux with a different name, and
confirmed that others are posting, I'm just not receiving on
Ayttm. I also confirmed that Ayttm posts ok.

Note, I checked Preferences, "unknown users" are not blocked.

Do you have any idea what the cause of this might be?

...so close! I would love to get this working for the next
release of Puppy Linux. (version 4.00beta1 about a week from now)

Regards,
Barry Kauler
