3. *BSD nodes (maybe also Linux, not sure) can do DNS resolution over
either IPv4 or IPv6. I understand that Vista (NG of WinXP) should also
be able to do this.
Debian(linux) nodes can send/get IPv6 DNS queries and replies by editing the
"resove.conf"
nameserver 2001:4bd0::1
I think you are right with WinXP because for IPV4 stack i should enter a dns
server address for static ip configuration. And for ipv6 stack i can add an
ipv6 dns server address. But it never uses the ipv6 one...But in Vista there
is only one stack that combines ipv4 and ipv6. I should try using only ipv6
address for dns server in WinVista as soon as possible.
