Hubs and switches work at the data level - so they handle Ethernet frames, between Ethernet devices. It doesn't matter what protocol you use inside the Ethernet frame (ipv4, ipv6, Appletalk, IPX etc.) Therefore all Ethernet hubs and switches work for IPv6. If it has a control interface (i.e. it is a managed switch) that may be IPv4 only, but really given that you are only telnetting in to turn ports on and off and set up things like vlans, it really is no bother telnetting into the switch using IPv4. -- William Palfreman --------------------------------------------------------------------- The IPv6 Users Mailing List Unsubscribe by sending "unsubscribe users" to [email protected]
