Hi Emmanuel, You are french, aren't you? :-) Imagine the following scenario : MachineA (192.168.0.1) --- (Private address 192.168.0.254) GatewayA (public address 68.2.3.4) --- INTERNET---- (public adress 68.2.3.5) GatewayB (192.168.1.254) --- MachineB (192.168.1.1) Data are encrypted between gatewayA and B. MachineA wants to communicate with MachineB. Then the ip packet header looks like : 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, options, data When the packet arrived at GatewayA, the original ip packet header are encapsulated and crypted in a new one, it looks like : 68.2.3.4, 68.2.3.5, original ip packet crypted. When GatewayB will receive the packet, it will decrypt it and transmit the original packet to MachineB. So nobody can see the sender and the receiver on the internet... I've read on a site that if I want to achieve this I have to use ESP and AH in tunnel mode. In my case, it's much simplier because I just want to encrypt my data between my laptop and my gateway to secure wireless network. But it doesn't work. Anyone can help me? I didn't resolve the problem of downloading too. I've notice that some sites are not accessible from my laptop even if they are accessible from the gateway (with firewall off).
