I'm experiencing this

problem as well under FreeBSD 4.10, though with fewer SA entries.  I
was able to get around the problem by setting the SO_RCVTIMEO option
on the socket.  It does seem to be helping, though I'm not sure that
it's a correct fix.  I've got a kludgey patch if anyone is interested.
