17:03:13 -!- Vunde [~rahmberg-EHu2GuKlfkxiBgn7R7jQ86rPR/[email protected]] has joined #Help 17:03:20 < Vunde> Hey 17:03:52 <@AndrewR> hi, how can we help? 17:05:23 < Vunde> I have a question, the chan #DBJ-ledelsen , I presume it was dropped.. Because it were ok the other day, but then all of a sudden.. It banned me, and all kinds of stuff.. Then when I tried to fix the probs with it, CS constantly repeated.. "The channel #DBJ-ledelsen is not registered" Then I thought, that maybe as IRCOP's you could see when the chan was dropped, and which nick dropped it..? 17:05:36 < Vunde> was* 17:06:01 <@Tekken> Vunde: it was probably registered to a nick, which was dropped 17:06:11 <@Tekken> you should re-register it as soon as possible 17:06:24 <@grifferz> I will see what happened 17:09:28 <@grifferz> [STK]ven_hroth 17:09:29 <@grifferz> gar 17:09:32 <@grifferz> founded the channel 17:09:36 <@grifferz> that nick expired on friday 17:09:40 < Vunde> :S 17:09:42 <@Tekken> and he's never here 17:09:42 <@grifferz> channel went with it 17:09:52 <@grifferz> use successors 17:10:01 <@Tekken> so Vunde: register it yourself 17:10:04 <@grifferz> /cs help set successor 17:10:08 < Vunde> I'll remember that the next time.. :) 17:10:12 < Vunde> Thx :) 17:10:47 -!- Vunde [~rahmberg-EHu2GuKlfkxiBgn7R7jQ86rPR/[email protected]] has left #Help [] Over in #blitzed: 17:11:24 <@grifferz> I can't help feeling sorry for people whose channels expired because the founders are never there 17:11:49 <@grifferz> maybe there should be some warning onjoin if the channel is near to expiry 17:12:05 <+Iain> sounds like a plan 17:12:16 <@dg> or maybe automatically set the successor to the highest user on the access list if it's not set 17:12:32 <@grifferz> -ChanServ- This channel's founder has not been online for $foo and as a result this channel will be expired (DELETED) in $bar days. Please find your founder! 17:13:33 < Joe> have chanserv e-mail the founder x days before it expires? 17:13:39 <@grifferz> the only problem I see with automatic successors, as it were, is that it could end up with channels passing to people who shouldn't have them, and never going back. I suppose you could say that happens anyway... 17:14:03 <+Iain> well if the channel expires, it's fair game anyway -- http://freebsdwiki.org/ - Encrypted mail welcome - keyid 0xBF15490B "In Vegas, I got into a long argument with the man at the roulette wheel over what I considered to be an odd number." -- Steven Wright
