I agree with this. The server is performing well enough to be permlinked, but I have some doubts on the dedication of its admin. While kari is certainly technically capable, she refrained from keeping us properly informed on what was going on, for example during the BOPM problem. (We still aren't sure it is working correctly now, but she said her hoster had removed the port filters that blocked the BOPM scans...) Her explanation for this lack of communication was that she had been very busy, but even then a short mail explaining this would have helped a lot. Total silence just doesn't work. Also, she doesn't seem to be very involved with Blitzed, at least not what I can judge on #blitzed and the lists. That in itself is not really a problem and certainly not required, but I don't think it will help in the long run, if even during the testlink she only does the bare minimum of work when chased by other people. > It will be a shame to lose this server but I don't think that those > of us who do the work really want to be wasting our time chasing up > things that should just happen. > > Delink it now while we still can do so fairly easily, I don't want > Gremlin over again. Well I wouldn't like to see the server go already, so personally I'm willing to extend the test period with some extra time, but the communication part really has to improve now... Kari, can you please comment on these mails? :) -- Mark [email protected]
