Hi, I think the thing to consider is why does Blitzed give admins a vote in the first place. Why do they get a vote and not opers or other members of staff. Presumably the thinking behind it is that they are providing the base function of the network in servers and without servers there can be no network. They have gone to the trouble of getting a server and applying to link and then maintaining the server. It is this which is recognised and why they are given the vote. All the EB members who have servers have had to go through the same process and so it seems only right to give them the same votes as any other admin. The fact that they are EB members is partly incidental for two reasons. They don't get "two votes", they get one vote, the same as any other admin in admin votes, they do not get any more say in admin votes. This is right and proper in their roles as admins. If there is a tie then they can don their EB hat and make a decision that way in a separate vote. There is also something in the argument that EB members should ONLY ever be admins of servers because they have a direct vested and perhaps economic interest in the network. Would it be right for someone who had none of these ties to be a member of the EB? To condense that rather badly worded paragraph. I think that EB members who are also admins should be allowed to vote as admins of servers since most of the time that is their role and function. Cheers Ben Ullmann
