I have to agree here. Personally, I'd really like to be able to connect 
to the network using SSL. I cringe every time I send my nickserv or oper 
password over a plain connection. If we were to make this feature 
widespread and easy to use, I can see a lot of end users picking it up, 
especially since the newest version of mIRC supports it.


IPv6 isn't as big of an issue, as everyone who has an IPv6 address also 
has an IPv4 one. We need to plan for the day when this isn't the case, 
but for now it isn't as important.
