You both seem to be missing the fact that no matter how you put the
strings into each ircd, they all have to update simultaneously,
which I can't think of a way to do without race conditions.

But yes as Phil says and I'm sure Mark realises, there is not much
pint trying to hide the keys from the admin themself.  I think Mark
was meaning that if there is no need for the admin to mess with the
keys then it's one less thing for them to worry about.
