A new server being added to the network *is* relevant. IMHO a link app
is not.

I take that point, it does make some sense. I would suggest though that
the emails should be written a bit differently... to the staff list it
should talk about the voting procedure etc, but to the public list then
perhaps it should be something like, "we've received this link app, if
anyone has any opinions then please let us know" ?
