This is a bit unfair; nothing has been hidden from you or any other
admin and you were free to object or say how you wanted it to be at
the time.

The testlink process is really geared towards new admins and new
servers and it would be silly to slavishly apply all rules even when
they don't make that much sense.

Even so if you really want to go through a permlink vote for
tabasco, and look back at every vote I've participated in to remove
my input then alright. But I don't see it making any difference
apart from making everyone do more work.

As you ask, my opinion is that a link application is necessary
purely so that we have up to date info (you could skip the fluffy
"what have you done for blitzed?"-style questions). Then as long as
no admins had any objection I think we could dispense with a
testlink vote and the testlink procedure.

That is just my opinion though and depending on what others think I
don't really care how much is skipped, we can take it back to a
proper formal testlink if people really want. Just trying to save
everyone time, primarily me.

Similar shortcuts are going to apply to Andrew's new server, syrup,
I suspect.
