I would like to stand for EB again this year; after being voted in as EB
member last year but deciding to stand down for a number of reasons, I
chose to stand down. However, more recently, things look on the up, as
there seems to be some more interest and we've recruited some new
servers and staff as a result. 

The past 12 months, as Antony mentioned, hasn't been so great; however,
looking forward, things could really pick up and personally, I would be
more than prepared to help on getting things going again with OPM and
IRCd/services. Stability isn't something to write home about over the
past year, perhaps something to think about.  

As far as day-to-day administration of the network goes, we had some
issues with large botnet attacks; however, these issues are now
resolved. Was very active with day-to-day AKILLing/services quarantining
of drones etc.

Past Blitzed 'experience' includes OPM administrator, web team member,
server admin tabasco.hub and now tabasco.uk. In addition, I have helped
Blitzed by way of resources 'behind the scenes' by providing a static.*
mirror and a powerdns geodns backup. 

Over the next twelve months, I personally would like to finally see
Blitzed move to a new IRCd, something less ancient and buggy. Again, in
that respect, two competent IRCd coders would be willing to help
Blitzed; this is a good thing as we only currently have one or two
active C coders. Coupled with that, services could possibly be looked
at, there are still some issues from years ago including more/better
caching. 

OPM is, again, something that would be good to get back online as there
is currently no other equally as effective DNSBL for all IRC networks.
After all, all the reporting stuff is in BOPM, so it was a very
successful and sane solution for IRC networks. There are some
equivalents now, such as AHBL, but they're nowhere near as popular as
OPM was. In addition, OPM made Blitzed quite a respected network and
brought some interest to the network.
