IRC Status Script problem?

Whenever I insert my nick into the listing its showing me as always offline.  No matter my
actual status.  

nick = [MtS]Alien 

I doubt this is the case, but is it possibly the brackets around the beginning of my name are
somehow making it difficult for the script to process properly?  I even used my login name
instead of my nick in the URL and it still refuses to process.

As a matter of fact, I just tried some other users who were online in the help channel. 
None of their names process through the script either.  Is it broken, or am I just completely
brain dead?  *smile*
