Hi again

I am a network tech and am very knowledgeable with unix. I can see no
reason why it will not connect on the server, the port is 6667 in the
config. Is there anything on the server that may be blocking the port?

Again, there is no firewall on the server.

Linux, red hat.

Thanks
Ranson

Connections form the client are normally made to port 6667. Check his
client for the port it's really using.
You may also want to tell the firewall to reject ident requests in
(rather than ignore them) so the connection wont be delayed.
