Being baned for having sockescap5 running?

Hello...I'm a little confused.  I ran sockescap5 once on this computer with a proxy...why is this grounds to be baned?  Yes...I'm sure it was an open proxy but I was not using it for any bad purposes...Any help would be appreciated!
