Yes, because the far connect notices don't contain a hostname. Alternatively I know lots of people use a module called "BOPM Helper" which allows them to use just one bopm. Another alternative is to use a script network-bopm.pl which comes with BOPM, connects as a server and allows you to have just one BOPM protecting the whole network. And finally if you didn't like those options, you could just run something like KickServices or OPSB.
